MAYPORT VISION STUDY WITH HDS

MAYPORT, FLORIDA

Our practice has been associated with Mayport Village for many decades, and we were pleased to be part of the vision study in concert with the Haskell Design Studio. The proposal has been well-received by the residents. Progress is being made on further developments to the village, along the traditional lines of architectural character that make the village an authentic place, as it develops one parcel at a time.

DONNER PARK COMMUNITY CENTER

ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA

This one-story wood frame Florida vernacular building is 2000 gsf, wrapped on three sides by a covered porch. It is sited on the east edge of Donner Park, and serves as a visual anchor to Dudley Road, as well as a neighborhood center. Construction completed in 1996.

MAYPORT MARITIME MUSEUM

MAYPORT, FLORIDA

South Elevation Study Sketch

The renovation of an existing 4000 gsf warehouse, this one-story wood frame building will be converted to a museum facility. Construction documents completed, state/local funding for the project is pending.

TOWNCENTER STREET RENOVATIONS

ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA

NEPTUNE BEACH, FLORIDA

This project was a grass roots design collaboration spanning 10 years of design and construction efforts, toward the remaking of the streetscape. Landscape Design provided by Glenn Mitchell and Associates. Overall design work provided by a countless number of neighborhood participants. Construction completed in 2001. Architectural Services were donated to the renovation efforts.

JMOMA

JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA

The Jacksonville Museum of Modern Art was designed by a collaborative of architects and designers. The 22 member team provided design documents over a 6 month time frame in 1999. Work was completed in 2002 and the museum is an integral part of the downtown renaissance.

This project is part of the San Marco revitalization efforts in the neighborhood center. New building finishes, a fabric awning, new signage and lighting were added. Construction completed in 2001. Architectural Services were donated to the renovation efforts.
